Mountain Biking can be great way to stay in shape. Even if you are not a down hill adrenaline nut the XC world and Trail world is just as exciting. One thing which we all need on the trail is water, and quite a lot of it if you are riding for 5 or more miles. Backpacks with water reservoirs are a great way to store high amounts to keep you hydrated while keeping your bike lighter for maneuverability.
The Osprey Raptor 10 is one of our top choices for Fall & Winter biking. It’s larger storage area is great for when you need to shed layers of clothes and need a place to store them. A large 3L reservoir holds plenty of water and the bite valve is perfect although the locking mechanism is a little difficult to use with one hand. Having a separate tool area at the bottom of the pack keeps heavier weighted item down low close to your hips, and keeps you from having to search through the pack looking for that one specific tool.
Fantastic back support gives your plenty of breathability between your back and the pack, and waist straps are easily tightened on the go. A nice little plus is the magnet holder that keeps your mouth peace next to you instead and swinging around…

The only hammock fabric designed specifically for camping, our 70 denier LunarWave diamond ripstop nylon is built to ensure the most comfortable and secure hang, every time.
With a 500 lb weight capacity, this high-tenacity diamond ripstop nylon protects against tearing and ripping.
Less weight per square inch than any other hammock fabric with even remotely close strength characteristics.
You’ll stay cool when it’s warm and avoid condensation when it’s cold. It’s quick drying, too.
Diamond ripstop reinforcement dramatically reduces stretch over time, keeping your hammock in shape and adventure-ready.
We break-in LunarWave fabric with a crinkle treatment that ensures out-of-the-package softness and exceptional packability.
Kanga Claws™ are engineered to support up to 5,000 lb of force. Double wire gates ensure your hammock won’t slip out while you hang, so you can rest easy all night long.
Racer Slings™ are made of Dyneema, a super-strong synthetic fiber that, weight for weight, is 15 times stronger than steel. Racer Slings support an amazing 2,000 lb of force.
Pack it in, pack it out. Our integrated compression sack is made of a diamond ripstop fabric so you can pack and unpack your hammock without worrying about frays or rips. With reinforced stress points and an extended the roll top closure, you’ve got a safe space for your Python Straps in each compression sack, too.
The Cuda HD by Jackson Kayak is a high end fishing yak that gets you from the shoreline to your fishing hole with ease. Wider than it’s brother Cuda, the Cuda HD maintains it’s speed and allows for a much more stable boat for stand-up fishing.
Redesigned hatch covers, a more intuitive cargo area ,and a much better designed seat positioning system makes this HD model a tough choice for other manufacturers to beat.
Follow Leaf in Creek Ambassador & Jackson Kayak Fishing Team member Robert Brown around this boat and learn what all this new boat can offer you.

Product Review: Patagonia Lithia skirt
We think Patagonia is the cat’s meow…but don’t leave it to us. Take a look at what wilderness ambassador, Vanessa has to say:
Full disclosure: I don’t often wear skirts. Not because I don’t think they’re darling…I have a few hanging in the back of my closet, but it’s just sort of rare that I think to put one on.
But I think I’ve grabbed for this Patagonia skirt three times in the last two weeks. It’s pretty awesome all around- comfortable, fits well (you know, doesn’t hug in the unflattering places) has neat prints, and is super versatile.
In fact, last weekend I went up to Kentucky Lake for a family reunion and got to put its versatility to good use. I wore it on the four hour drive up, out on the boat, and even to a spur of the moment wedding.
That’s right. We had a pop-up wedding in my grandmother’s backyard for my uncle and his long time girlfriend. They just decided, “Why not? We’re all here anyways!”
The wedding was obviously very causal, but I at least felt decent in my comfy new Patagonia skirt.
