Leaf in Creek - Kayak Fishing Team

The LIC Kayak Fishing Team is a group of anglers chosen by the Team Leaders who demonstrate good ethics in kayaking and have a passion to use them in the fishing scene.  These anglers are always available to answer your fishing related questions and can point you in the correct direction if you ask.  LICKFT participates in regional tournaments including NAKA – North Alabama Kayak Anglers yearly Classic and the KBF tours.  If you see a member around be sure to say hi!

Huntsville's Skinny Water

The Flint River is Huntsville’s main skinny water experience.  Many people enjoy river by kayak, canoe and SUP.  There are some quicker areas as well as slow moving water and average depth is around 2-5ft.  The put-in/take-out areas are large and usually around a road bridge.  Most areas have plenty of parking, and on the weekends can get pretty busy.
