These stories have been brought to life by Maori cultural artist Sam Mangakahia, whose career spans 13 years and over 450 custom art pieces. The Kala Voyage Collection celebrates the strength of the human spirit, offering a gorgeous collection of ukuleles sure to uplift the soul. In this collection, you’ll find three unique designs — Unity, Courage, and Guidance — that tell their own stories with symbols derived from each value. Each Voyage Collection ukulele dons a laser etching of the respective artwork, ready to last for years and bring continuing inspiration to you!
From Kala: the uke company
Kala is all about ukulele. In fact, ukes are all they make, and they make them exceedingly well. Kala is in no small part responsible for the strong resurgence of interest in ukuleles since the mid-1990s. The company designs and manufactures over 120 different models made from a variety of woods, including lacewood, koa, mango, and many more, with each imparting its own sonic signature and aesthetic beauty to these popular and iconic instruments.
